Hey,
I know its too late already...but I record as well and I tried out a demo for a mastering suite known as izotope ozone...and it is fantastic...perhaps not as good as the professionals/program you interfaced with..but i was blown away by it..and it puts you in control of everything for 200....there's a demo on www.kvraudio.com....i would suggest taking a look at it.
